Rebecca Molina graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 2022 with a BS in Biology and a minor in English. As an undergrad, she worked as a research assistant in an insect ecology lab and conducted independent research on projects relating to plant-insect interactions and plant defenses. During her undergrad, she also participated in an NSF-REU program to study trait expression in bryophytes located within the Western United States region. After working as a lab technician and tutor, Rebecca joined the Precision Pest Ecology lab in 2023 to pursue an MS in Entomology to study the relationship between species composition and abundance of the elaterid beetle complex in sweetpotato systems. During her spare time, Rebecca enjoys kayaking, hiking, and creative writing.
