Bio
Shea Phillips graduated from North Carolina State University in 2023 with a BS in Environmental Technology and Management and minors in Entomology and Environmental Toxicology. As an undergrad, she worked as a research assistant in various labs working with dog heartworm and mosquitos, emerald ash borer, and macroinvertebrates. During her college career, she interned with Sibelco for two years performing duties with the environmental supervisor and managed their wildlife team. She created and implemented 11 wildlife projects and gained environmental consulting experience. In 2023, Shea joined the Precision Pest Ecology lab to pursue an MS in Entomology working on Drosophila hydei pyrethrin resistance & black rot in sweet potatoes. Her hobbies include hiking, gardening, fishing, and photography.
